Entry Level and Lateral Entry Police Officer

Applicant must be a commissioned Ohio Peace Officer or must be currently enrolled in a police academy and must obtain an Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate by time of appointment. Applicant must also be 21 years of age, U.S. Citizen, have a High School Diploma or GED, and possess a valid Ohio Driver License. Prior to appointment, applicant must submit to an extensive background investigation, truth verification test, drug screening, physical, and psychological examination.
