Civil Engineer - City of Huber Heights
The city has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the position of Civil

The City of Huber Heights, Ohio, located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and
in close proximity of the Dayton International Airport and the I -75/I-70 “Crossroads of America”
interchange with a population of 43,439, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of fulltime
Civil Engineer. This position is responsible for engineering activities related to plan review
for residential, commercial and industrial development and both private and public sanitary
sewers, water, street and storm sewer improvements, conduct design and site plan reviews,
preparation and/or develop engineering plans and specifications for infrastructure projects.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil
engineering or closely related field with a minimum of three years’ progressively responsible
experience in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide
sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential functions of the job. Must obtain
Professional Engineer registration in the State of Ohio within 4 years from the date of appointment.
The selection process will include an oral interview(s) on a date TBD to fill an immediate opening
for the position of full-time Civil Engineer. The process will begin with screening applicants for
requisites and credentials. Prior to appointment, applicants must submit to an extensive
background investigation, drug screen and physical examination.
The salary range for this position is $73,653.01 to $103,612.50. Starting salary may be based on
experience and qualifications. Benefits include but are not limited to vacation and sick leave
accrual, and 24 hours of personal leave (pro-rated at time of appointment), employer paid life
insurance, and excellent health insurance benefits to include 100% employer paid medical
insurance premium and generous contributions to HSA or HRA.
