JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages, facilitates and oversees public projects; performs construction administration responsibilities, in conjunction with the City Engineer, for public and private projects. Reviews documents and manages project work; performs related engineering research; prepares and maintains related records and documents; assists with budget preparation and management; supervises staff within Engineering Department; responds to inquiries from general public; facilitates major maintenance activities at city owned buildings; maintains communication with federal state and local agencies in connection with city projects, grants and mutual agency interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, (P.E. preferred), 3-5 years experience in various public works activities or equivalent and 1-3 or more years of supervisory/management experience.
